So Mosesbroughttheir casebeforethe LORD.
"I would present[my] casebeforeHim And fillmy mouthwith arguments.
"ThereI will meetwith you; and from abovethe mercyseat,from betweenthe twocherubimwhichare upon the arkof the testimony,I will speakto you about allthat I will giveyou in commandmentfor the sonsof Israel.
and they puthim in custodybecauseit had not been declaredwhatshould be doneto him.
"Moreover, he shall standbeforeEleazarthe priest,who shall inquirefor him by the judgmentof the Urimbeforethe LORD.At his commandthey shall goout and at his commandthey shall comein, [both] he and the sonsof Israelwith him, even allthe congregation."
"Whyshould the nameof our fatherbe withdrawnfrom amonghis familybecausehe hadnoson?Giveus a possessionamongour father'sbrothers."
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
and they said,"The LORDcommandedmy lordto givethe landby lotto the sonsof Israelas an inheritance,and my lordwas commandedby the LORDto givethe inheritanceof Zelophehadour brotherto his daughters.
Mosestherefore saidto them, "Wait,and I will listento whatthe LORDwill commandconcerning you."
They camenearbeforeEleazarthe priestand beforeJoshuathe sonof Nunand beforethe leaders,saying,"The LORDcommandedMosesto giveus an inheritanceamongour brothers."So accordingto the commandof the LORDhe gavethem an inheritanceamongtheir father'sbrothers.
