But allthe congregationsaidto stonethem with stones.Then the gloryof the LORDappearedin the tentof meetingto allthe sonsof Israel.
It cameabout as Aaronspoketo the wholecongregationof the sonsof Israel,that they lookedtowardthe wilderness,and behold,the gloryof the LORDappearedin the cloud.
and in the morningyou will seethe gloryof the LORD,for He hearsyour grumblingsagainstthe LORD;and whatare we, that you grumbleagainstus?"
So Mosescriedout to the LORD,saying,"Whatshall I doto thispeople?A littlemoreand they will stoneme."
Then the cloudcoveredthe tentof meeting,and the gloryof the LORDfilledthe tabernacle.
Mosesand Aaronwentinto the tentof meeting.When they cameout and blessedthe people,the gloryof the LORDappearedto allthe people.
Thus Korahassembledallthe congregationagainstthem at the doorwayof the tentof meeting.And the gloryof the LORDappearedto allthe congregation.
It cameabout, however, when the congregationhad assembledagainstMosesand Aaron,that they turnedtowardthe tentof meeting,and behold,the cloudcoveredit and the gloryof the LORDappeared.
So Mosesdepositedthe rodsbeforethe LORDin the tentof the testimony.
Then Mosesand Aaroncamein from the presenceof the assemblyto the doorwayof the tentof meetingand fellon their faces.Then the gloryof the LORDappearedto them;
"Jerusalem,Jerusalem,who killsthe prophetsand stonesthosewho are sentto her! How oftenI wantedto gatheryour childrentogether,the waya hengathersher chicksunderher wings,and you were unwilling.
"Which oneof the prophetsdid your fathersnot persecute?They killedthosewho had previously announcedthe comingof the Righteous One,whosebetrayersand murderersyou have nowbecome;
They went on stoningStephenas he calledon [the Lord] and said,"LordJesus,receivemy spirit!"
Moreover Davidwas greatlydistressedbecausethe peoplespokeof stoninghim, for allthe peoplewere embittered,eachonebecauseof his sonsand his daughters.But Davidstrengthenedhimself in the LORDhis God.
