and leavingNazareth,He cameand settledin Capernaum,which is by the sea,in the regionof Zebulunand Naphtali.
"And you, Capernaum,will not be exaltedto heaven,will you? You will descendto Hades;for ifthe miracleshad occurredin Sodomwhich occurredin you, it would have remainedto this day.
When they cameto Capernaum,thosewho collectedthe two-drachma[tax] cameto Peterand said,"Does your teachernot paythe two-drachma[tax]?"
[This was] to fulfillwhatwas spokenthroughIsaiahthe prophet:
"THE LANDOF ZEBULUNAND THE LANDOF NAPHTALI,BY THE WAYOF THE SEA,BEYONDTHE JORDAN,GALILEEOF THE GENTILES--
Gettinginto a boat,Jesus crossed over[the sea] and cameto His owncity.
They wentinto Capernaum;and immediatelyon the SabbathHe enteredthe synagogueand [began] to teach.
When He had comebackto Capernaumseveral daysafterward,it was heardthat He was at home.
"And you, Capernaum,will not be exaltedto heaven,will you? You will be brought downto Hades!
And He saidto them, "No doubtyou will quotethisproverbto Me, 'Physician,healyourself!Whateverwe heardwas doneat Capernaum,doherein your hometownas well.'"
AfterthisHe went downto Capernaum,He and His motherand [His] brothersand His disciples;and they stayedtherea fewdays.
ThereforeHe cameagainto Canaof GalileewhereHe had madethe waterwine.And there was a royal officialwhosesonwas sickat Capernaum.
and after gettinginto a boat,they [started to] crossthe seato Capernaum.It had alreadybecomedark,and Jesushad not yetcometo them.
Sowhenthe crowdsawthat Jesuswas not there,norHis disciples,they themselvesgotinto the small boats,and cameto CapernaumseekingJesus.
These thingsHe saidin the synagogueas He taughtin Capernaum.
