ThenJerusalemwas goingout to him, and allJudeaand allthe district aroundthe Jordan;
Nowafter Jesuswas bornin Bethlehemof Judeain the daysof Herodthe king,magifrom the eastarrivedin Jerusalem,saying,
LargecrowdsfollowedHim from Galileeand [the] Decapolisand Jerusalemand Judeaand [from] beyondthe Jordan.
And allthe countryof Judeawas goingout to him, and allthe people of Jerusalem;and they were being baptizedby him in the JordanRiver,confessingtheir sins.
"The Lawand the Prophets[were proclaimed] untilJohn;sincethat timethe gospelof the kingdomof Godhas been preached,and everyoneis forcing his wayinto it.
And he cameinto allthe district aroundthe Jordan,preachinga baptismof repentancefor the forgivenessof sins;
Sohe [began] sayingto the crowdswho were goingout to be baptizedby him, "You broodof vipers,whowarnedyou to fleefrom the wrathto come?
Johnalsowas baptizingin AenonnearSalim,becausethere was muchwaterthere;and [people] were comingand were being baptized--
"He was the lampthat was burningand was shiningand you were willingto rejoicefor a whilein his light.
