But when he heardthat Archelauswas reigningover Judeain placeof his fatherHerod,he was afraidto gothere.Thenafter being warned[by God] in a dream,he leftfor the regionsof Galilee,
and they were being baptizedby him in the JordanRiver,as they confessedtheir sins.
But Johntried to preventHim, saying,"I haveneedto be baptizedby You, and do You cometo me?"
"I did not recognizeHim, but sothat He might be manifestedto Israel,I camebaptizingin water."
