Thenoneof the twelve,namedJudasIscariot,wentto the chief priests
Simonthe Zealot,and JudasIscariot,the one who betrayedHim.
And Judas,who was betrayingHim, said,"Surelyit is not I, Rabbi?"Jesus said to him, "You have said[it] yourself."
While He was stillspeaking,behold,Judas,oneof the twelve,cameup accompaniedby a largecrowdwith swordsand clubs,[who came] from the chief priestsand eldersof the people.
Thenwhen Judas,who had betrayedHim, sawthat He had been condemned,he felt remorseand returnedthe thirtypieces of silverto the chief priestsand elders,
But JudasIscariot,oneof His disciples,who was intendingto betrayHim, said,
Duringsupper,the devilhaving alreadyputinto the heartof JudasIscariot,[the son] of Simon,to betrayHim,
Jesusthenanswered,"That is the one for whomI shall dipthe morseland giveit to him." Sowhen He had dippedthe morsel,He tookand gaveit to Judas,[the son] of SimonIscariot.
Soafter receivingthe morselhe wentout immediately;and it was night.
NowJudasalso,who was betrayingHim, knewthe place,for Jesushad oftenmettherewith His disciples.
"Brethren,the Scripturehadto be fulfilled,whichthe HolySpiritforetoldby the mouthof DavidconcerningJudas,who becamea guideto thosewho arrestedJesus.
(Nowthis manacquireda fieldwith the priceof his wickedness,and fallingheadlong,he burst openin the middleand allhis intestinesgushedout.
