"But woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites,becauseyou shutoff the kingdomof heavenfrom people;for you do not enterin yourselves,nordo you allowthosewho are enteringto goin.

Saulwas in hearty agreementwith putting him to death.And on that daya greatpersecutionbeganagainstthe churchin Jerusalem,and they were allscatteredthroughoutthe regionsof Judeaand Samaria,exceptthe apostles.
Be on guardagainst him yourself,for he vigorouslyopposedour teaching.

Justas Jannesand JambresopposedMoses,sothese[men] alsoopposethe truth,menof depravedmind,rejectedin regardto the faith.

saying,"We gaveyou strict ordersnot to continue teachingin thisname,and yet,you have filledJerusalemwith your teachingand intendto bringthisman'sbloodupon us."
They answeredhim, "You were bornentirelyin sins,and are you teachingus?" Sothey puthim out.
Soa second timethey calledthe manwhohad beenblind,and saidto him, "Givegloryto God;we knowthat thismanis a sinner."
His parentssaidthisbecausethey were afraidof the Jews;for the Jewshad alreadyagreedthat ifanyoneconfessedHim to be Christ,he was to be put out of the synagogue.
"Woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites!For you cleanthe outsideof the cupand of the dish,but insidethey are fullof robberyand self-indulgence.
But when he sawmanyof the Phariseesand Sadduceescomingfor baptism,he saidto them, "You broodof vipers,whowarnedyou to fleefrom the wrathto come?
"Woeto you, blindguides,who say,Whoeverswearsby the temple,[that] is nothing;but whoeverswearsby the goldof the templeis obligated.'
