"He who believesin Him is not judged;he who does not believehas been judgedalready,becausehe has not believedin the nameof the only begottenSonof God.
JohntestifiedaboutHim and criedout, saying,"Thiswas He of whomI said,He who comesafterme hasa higher rankthan I, for He existedbeforeme.'"
They reasonedamongthemselves,saying,"Ifwe say,'From heaven,'He will say,'Whydid you not believehim?'
There camea mansentfrom God,whosenamewas John.
They began to discuss[this] amongthemselves,saying,"[He said that] becausewe did not bring[any] bread."
Jesussaidto them, "I will alsoaskyou onething,whichifyou tellMe, I will alsotellyou by whatauthorityI dothese things.
"But ifwe say,'From men,'we fearthe people;for they allregardJohnas a prophet."
But they kept silent.And He took holdof him and healedhim, and sent him away.
