"When they receivedit, they grumbledat the landowner,
"When those[hired] firstcame,they thoughtthat they would receivemore;but eachof them alsoreceiveda denarius.
saying,'Theselast menhave worked[only] onehour,and you have madethem equalto us whohave bornethe burdenand the scorching heatof the day.'
"For thisperfumemighthave been soldfor overthree hundreddenarii,and [the money] givento the poor."And they were scoldingher.
Boththe Phariseesand the scribes[began] to grumble,saying,"This manreceivessinnersand eatswith them."
When they sawit, they all[began] to grumble,saying,"He has goneto be the guestof a manwho is a sinner."

Theseare grumblers,finding fault,followingaftertheir [own] lusts;they speakarrogantly,flatteringpeoplefor the sakeof [gaining an] advantage.
