Jesussaidto him, "Ifyou wishto be complete,go[and] sellyour possessionsand giveto [the] poor,and you will havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
Lookingat him, Jesusfelt a lovefor him and saidto him, "One thingyou lack:goand sellallyou possessand giveto the poor,and you will havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
When Jesusheard[this], He saidto him, "One thingyou stilllack;sellallthat you possessand distributeit to the poor,and you shall havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
"Sellyour possessionsand giveto charity;makeyourselvesmoney beltswhich do not wearout, an unfailingtreasurein heaven,wherenothiefcomes nearnormothdestroys.
"Sothen,noneof you canbe My disciplewhodoes not giveup allhis ownpossessions.
and they [began] sellingtheir propertyand possessionsand were sharingthem with all,as anyonemight haveneed.
"IfanyoneservesMe, he must followMe; and whereI am,thereMy servantwill be also;ifanyoneservesMe, the Fatherwill honorhim.
And He was sayingto [them] all,"Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossdailyand followMe.
"My sheephearMy voice,and I knowthem, and they followMe;
"Thereforeyou are to be perfect,as your heavenlyFatheris perfect.
"And I sayto you, makefriendsfor yourselvesby meansof the wealthof unrighteousness,sothat whenit fails,they will receiveyou into the eternaldwellings.
And Jesussaidto them, "TrulyI sayto you, that you who have followedMe, in the regenerationwhenthe Sonof Manwill siton His gloriousthrone,you alsoshall situpon twelvethrones,judgingthe twelvetribesof Israel.
ThenJesussaidto His disciples,"Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossand followMe.
"A pupilis not abovehis teacher;but everyone,after he has been fully trained,will be likehis teacher.
Afterthat He wentout and noticeda taxcollectornamedLevisittingin the tax booth,and He saidto him, "FollowMe."
And He summonedthe crowdwith His disciples,and saidto them, "Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossand followMe.
As Jesuswenton from there,He sawa mancalledMatthew,sittingin the tax collector's booth;and He saidto him, "FollowMe!" And he gotup and followedHim.
For you showed sympathyto the prisonersand acceptedjoyfullythe seizureof your property,knowingthat you havefor yourselvesa betterpossessionand a lastingone.
As He passedby, He sawLevithe [son] of Alphaeussittingin the tax booth,and He saidto him, "FollowMe!" And he gotup and followedHim.
But Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe, and allowthe deadto burytheir owndead."
And He saidto them, "FollowMe, and I will makeyou fishersof men."
Markthe blamelessman,and beholdthe upright;For the manof peacewill have a posterity.
There was a manin the landof Uzwhose namewas Job;and that manwas blameless,upright,fearingGodand turningawayfrom evil.
Now when Abramwas ninety-nineyearsold,the LORDappearedto Abramand saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;WalkbeforeMe, and be blameless.
Theseare [the records of] the generationsof Noah.Noahwas a righteousman,blamelessin his time;Noahwalkedwith God.
The young mansaidto Him, "Allthese thingsI have kept;whatamI stilllacking?"
But when the young manheardthisstatement,he went awaygrieving;for he was one who ownedmuchproperty.
