While he was stillspeaking,a brightcloudovershadowedthem, and behold,a voiceout of the cloudsaid,"Thisis My belovedSon,with whomI am well-pleased;listento Him!"
Then the LORDansweredJobout of the whirlwindand said,
"You calledin troubleand I rescuedyou; I answeredyou in the hidingplaceof thunder;I provedyou at the watersof Meribah.Selah.
When the soundof the trumpetgrewlouderand louder,Mosesspokeand Godansweredhim with thunder.
"Behold,My Servant,whom I uphold;My chosenone [in whom] My souldelights.I have putMy Spiritupon Him; He will bringforthjusticeto the nations.
The LORDwas pleasedfor His righteousness'sakeTo makethe lawgreatand glorious.
"BEHOLD,MY SERVANTWHOMI HAVE CHOSEN;MY BELOVEDIN WHOMMY SOULis WELL-PLEASED;I WILL PUTMY SPIRITUPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIMJUSTICETO THE GENTILES.
When the disciplesheard[this], they fellfacedown to the ground and were terrified.
and behold,a voiceout of the heavenssaid,"Thisis My belovedSon,in whomI am well-pleased."
and a voicecameout of the heavens:"You are My belovedSon,in You I am well-pleased."
Thena cloudformed,overshadowingthem, and a voicecameout of the cloud,"Thisis My belovedSon,listento Him!"
and the HolySpiritdescendedupon Him in bodilyformlikea dove,and a voicecameout of heaven,"You are My belovedSon,in You I am well-pleased."
"For Godsolovedthe world,that He gaveHis only begottenSon,that whoeverbelievesin Him shall not perish,but haveeternallife.
"The Fatherlovesthe Sonand has givenall thingsinto His hand.
"And the Fatherwho sentMe, He has testifiedof Me. You have neitherheardHis voiceat any timenorseenHis form.
And after He had saidthese things,He was liftedup while they were lookingon, and a cloudreceivedHim out of their sight.
"Thisis the Moseswho saidto the sonsof Israel,GODWILL RAISEUP FOR YOU A PROPHETLIKEME FROM YOUR BRETHREN.'
to the praiseof the gloryof His grace,whichHe freely bestowedon us in the Beloved.
"The LORDyour Godwill raiseup for you a prophetlikeme from amongyou, from your countrymen,you shall listento him.
It shall comeabout that whoeverwill not listento My wordswhichhe shall speakin My name,I Myselfwill require[it] of him.
"Thesewordsthe LORDspoketo allyour assemblyat the mountainfrom the midstof the fire,[of] the cloudand [of] the thickgloom,with a greatvoice,and He addednomore.He wrotethem on twotabletsof stoneand gavethem to me.
For He rescuedus from the domainof darkness,and transferredus to the kingdomof His belovedSon,
And having been made perfect,He becameto allthosewho obeyHim the sourceof eternalsalvation,
BEHOLD,HE IS COMINGWITH THE CLOUDS,and everyeyewill seeHim, eventhose whopiercedHim; and allthe tribesof the earthwill mournoverHim. Soit is to be. Amen.
ThenI looked,and behold,a whitecloud,and sittingon the cloud[was] one likea sonof man,havinga goldencrownon His headand a sharpsicklein His hand.
