From that timeJesusbeganto showHis disciplesthat He mustgoto Jerusalem,and suffermany thingsfrom the eldersand chief priestsand scribes,and be killed,and be raisedup on the thirdday.
Sallu,Amok,Hilkiahand Jedaiah.Thesewere the headsof the priestsand their kinsmenin the daysof Jeshua.
for justas JONAHWAS THREEDAYSAND THREENIGHTSIN THE BELLYOF THE SEA MONSTER,sowill the Sonof Manbe threedaysand threenightsin the heartof the earth.
Petertook Him asideand beganto rebukeHim, saying,"God forbid[it], Lord!Thisshall neverhappento You."
"TrulyI sayto you, there are someof thosewho are standingherewhowill not tastedeathuntilthey seethe Sonof Mancomingin His kingdom."
but I sayto you that Elijahalreadycame,and they did not recognizehim, but didto him whateverthey wished.Soalsothe Sonof Manis goingto sufferat their hands."
As they were coming downfrom the mountain,Jesuscommandedthem, saying, "Tellthe visionto no oneuntilthe Sonof Manhas risenfrom the dead."
justas the Sonof Mandid not cometo be served,but to serve,and to giveHis lifea ransomfor many."
"You knowthat aftertwodaysthe Passoveris coming,and the Sonof Manis [to be] handedover for crucifixion."
While He was stillspeaking,behold,Judas,oneof the twelve,cameup accompaniedby a largecrowdwith swordsand clubs,[who came] from the chief priestsand eldersof the people.
And whileHe was being accusedby the chief priestsand elders,He did not answer.
and said,"Sir,we rememberthat when He was stillalivethat deceiversaid,AfterthreedaysI [am to] rise again.'
"He is not here,for He has risen,justas He said.Come,seethe placewhereHe was lying.
And He beganto teachthem that the Sonof Manmustsuffermany thingsand be rejectedby the eldersand the chief priestsand the scribes,and be killed,and afterthreedaysrise again.
And He saidto them, "Elijahdoes firstcomeand restoreall things.And [yet] howis it writtenof the Sonof Manthat He will suffermany thingsand be treated with contempt?
"But firstHe mustsuffermany thingsand be rejectedby thisgeneration.
and He saidto them, "Thusit is written,that the Christwould sufferand rise againfrom the deadthe thirdday,
who,appearingin glory,were speakingof His departurewhichHe was aboutto accomplishat Jerusalem.
