And He did not domanymiraclestherebecauseof their unbelief.
Thisnewsspreadthroughoutallthat land.
But they wentout and spread the newsabout Him throughoutallthat land.
And He was giving ordersto them, saying,"Watchout! Bewareof the leavenof the Phariseesand the leavenof Herod."
"No,norhas Herod,for he sent Him backto us; and behold,nothingdeservingdeathhas beendoneby Him.
Nowin the fifteenthyearof the reignof TiberiusCaesar,when PontiusPilatewas governorof Judea,and Herodwas tetrarchof Galilee,and his brotherPhilipwas tetrarchof the regionof Ituraeaand Trachonitis,and Lysaniaswas tetrarchof Abilene,
But when Herodthe tetrarchwas reprimandedby him becauseof Herodias,his brother'swife,and becauseof allthe wicked thingswhichHerodhad done,
and Joannathe wifeof Chuza,Herod'ssteward,and Susanna,and manyotherswhowere contributing to their supportout of their private means.
Nowaboutthat timeHerodthe kinglaidhandson somewhobelongedto the churchin order to mistreatthem.
Nowthere were at Antioch,in the churchthat was [there], prophetsand teachers:Barnabas,and Simeonwho was calledNiger,and Luciusof Cyrene,and Manaenwho had been broughtup with Herodthe tetrarch,and Saul.
