"Yes,Father,for this waywas well-pleasingin Your sight.
who has savedus and calledus with a holycalling,not accordingto our works,but accordingto His ownpurposeand gracewhich was grantedus in ChristJesusfrom alleternity,
[This was] in accordancewith the eternalpurposewhichHe carriedout in ChristJesusour Lord,
alsowe have obtained an inheritance,having been predestinedaccordingto His purposewho worksall thingsafterthe counselof His will,
He made knownto us the mysteryof His will, accordingto His kind intentionwhichHe purposedin Him
So thenHe has mercyon whomHe desires,and He hardenswhomHe desires.
At that verytimeHe rejoiced greatlyin the HolySpirit,and said,"I praiseYou, O Father,Lordof heavenand earth,that You have hiddenthese thingsfrom [the] wiseand intelligentand have revealedthem to infants.Yes,Father,for this waywas well-pleasingin Your sight.
Declaringthe endfrom the beginning,And from ancienttimesthings whichhave not been done,Saying,My purposewill be established,And I will accomplishallMy goodpleasure';
"Whydo you complainagainstHim That He does not givean accountof allHis doings?
saying,"Father,ifYou are willing,removethiscupfrom Me; yetnot My will,but Yoursbe done."
But Jesuswas saying,"Father,forgivethem; for they do not knowwhatthey are doing."And they castlots,dividingup His garmentsamongthemselves.
Sothey removedthe stone.ThenJesusraisedHis eyes,and said,"Father,I thankYou that You have heardMe.
"NowMy soulhas become troubled;and whatshall I say,Father,saveMe from thishour?But for thispurpose I cameto thishour.
"Father,glorifyYour name."Thena voicecameout of heaven:"I have bothglorifiedit, and will glorifyit again."
