WhenJesushad finishedgiving instructionsto His twelvedisciples,He departedfrom thereto teachand preachin their cities.
"[You know of] Jesusof Nazareth,howGodanointedHim with the HolySpiritand with power,and [how] He went aboutdoing goodand healingallwho were oppressedby the devil,for Godwas with Him.
Soon afterwards,He [began] going aroundfrom one cityand villageto another,proclaimingand preachingthe kingdomof God.The twelvewere with Him,
Jesuswas going throughallthe citiesand villages,teachingin their synagoguesand proclaimingthe gospelof the kingdom,and healingeverykindof diseaseand every kindof sickness.
For evenwhenwe were with you, we used to giveyou thisorder:ifanyoneis not willingto work,thenhe is not to eat,either.
Nowwe commandyou, brethren,in the nameof our LordJesusChrist,that you keep awayfrom everybrotherwho leadsan unrulylifeand not accordingto the traditionwhichyou receivedfrom us.
For you knowwhatcommandmentswe gaveyou by [the authority of] the LordJesus.
"And He orderedus to preachto the people,and solemnly to testifythat thisis the One who has been appointedby Godas Judgeof the livingand the dead.
untilthe daywhen He was takenup [to heaven], after He had by the HolySpiritgiven ordersto the apostleswhomHe had chosen.
"You are My friendsifyou dowhatI commandyou.
"Ifyou keepMy commandments,you will abidein My love;justas I have keptMy Father'scommandmentsand abidein His love.
teachingthem to observeallthat I commandedyou; and lo,I amwith you always,evento the endof the age."
WhenJesushad finishedthesewords,the crowdswere amazedat His teaching;
Jesus was going throughoutallGalilee,teachingin their synagoguesand proclaimingthe gospelof the kingdom,and healingeverykindof diseaseand every kindof sicknessamongthe people.
that you keepthe commandmentwithoutstainor reproachuntilthe appearingof our LordJesusChrist,
They wentout and preachedthat [men] should repent.
But they kept on insisting,saying,"He stirsup the people,teachingalloverJudea,startingfrom Galileeeven as faras this place."
