Thena cloudformed,overshadowingthem, and a voicecameout of the cloud,"Thisis My belovedSon,listento Him!"
"I will surelytellof the decreeof the LORD:He saidto Me, 'You are My Son,TodayI have begottenYou.
Cloudsand thickdarknesssurroundHim; Righteousnessand justiceare the foundationof His throne.
The gloryof the LORDrestedon MountSinai,and the cloudcoveredit for sixdays;and on the seventhdayHe calledto Mosesfrom the midstof the cloud.
Then the cloudcoveredthe tentof meeting,and the gloryof the LORDfilledthe tabernacle.
"I keptlookingin the nightvisions,And behold,with the cloudsof heavenOne like a Sonof Manwas coming,And He cameup to the Ancientof DaysAnd was presentedbeforeHim.
"HE TRUSTSIN GOD;LET GODRESCUE[Him] now,IFHE DELIGHTSIN HIM; for He said,'I amthe Sonof God.'"
Nowthe centurion,and thosewho were with him keeping guard overJesus,when they sawthe earthquakeand the things that were happening,became veryfrightenedand said,"Trulythiswas the Sonof God!"
and behold,a voiceout of the heavenssaid,"Thisis My belovedSon,in whomI am well-pleased."
and a voicecameout of the heavens:"You are My belovedSon,in You I am well-pleased."
For he did not knowwhatto answer;for they becameterrified.
All at oncethey looked aroundand sawno onewith them anymore,exceptJesusalone.
and the HolySpiritdescendedupon Him in bodilyformlikea dove,and a voicecameout of heaven,"You are My belovedSon,in You I am well-pleased."
"I myselfhave seen,and have testifiedthat thisis the Sonof God."
NathanaelansweredHim, "Rabbi,You are the Sonof God;You are the Kingof Israel."
"Father,glorifyYour name."Thena voicecameout of heaven:"I have bothglorifiedit, and will glorifyit again."
The Jewsansweredhim, "We havea law,and by that lawHe oughtto diebecauseHe madeHimselfout [to] [be] the Sonof God."
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
For thisreasonthereforethe Jewswere seekingall the moreto killHim, becauseHe not onlywas breakingthe Sabbath,but alsowas callingGodHis ownFather,makingHimselfequalwith God.
"And the Fatherwho sentMe, He has testifiedof Me. You have neitherheardHis voiceat any timenorseenHis form.
"We have believedand have come to knowthat You are the Holy Oneof God."
Jesusheardthat they had puthim out, and findinghim, He said,"Do you believein the Sonof Man?"
And after He had saidthese things,He was liftedup while they were lookingon, and a cloudreceivedHim out of their sight.
"Thisis the Moseswho saidto the sonsof Israel,GODWILL RAISEUP FOR YOU A PROPHETLIKEME FROM YOUR BRETHREN.'
As they wentalongthe roadthey cameto somewater;and the eunuchsaid,"Look!Water!Whatpreventsme from being baptized?"
who was declaredthe Sonof Godwith powerby the resurrectionfrom the dead,accordingto the Spiritof holiness,JesusChristour Lord,
For thisreasonwe mustpaymuch closerattentionto what we have heard,sothat we do not drift away[from it].
For when He receivedhonorand gloryfrom Godthe Father,suchan utteranceas this was madeto Him by the MajesticGlory,"Thisis My belovedSonwith whomI am well-pleased"--
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
BEHOLD,HE IS COMINGWITH THE CLOUDS,and everyeyewill seeHim, eventhose whopiercedHim; and allthe tribesof the earthwill mournoverHim. Soit is to be. Amen.
