Seeingtheir faith,He said,"Friend,your sinsare forgivenyou."
He said,"Do not stretchout your handagainstthe lad,and donothingto him; for nowI knowthat you fearGod,since you have not withheldyour son,your onlyson, from Me."
"Lo,for [my own] welfareI hadgreatbitterness;It is You who has keptmy soulfrom the pitof nothingness,For You have castallmy sinsbehindYour back.
And they broughtto Him a paralyticlyingon a bed.Seeingtheir faith,Jesussaidto the paralytic,"Take courage,son;your sinsare forgiven."
"Whichis easier,to say,Your sinsare forgiven,'orto say,'Getup, and walk'?
And Jesusseeingtheir faithsaidto the paralytic,"Son,your sinsare forgiven."
ThenHe saidto her, "Your sinshave been forgiven."
and becauseHe did not needanyoneto testifyconcerningman,for He Himselfknewwhatwas in man.
AfterwardJesusfoundhim in the templeand saidto him, "Behold,you have becomewell;do not sinanymore,sothat nothingworsehappensto you."
Then when he arrivedand witnessedthe graceof God,he rejoicedand [began] to encouragethem allwith resoluteheartto remain[true] to the Lord;
This manwas listeningto Paulas he spoke,who,when he had fixed his gazeon him and had seenthat he hadfaithto be made well,
But onewhomyou forgiveanything,I [forgive] also; for indeedwhatI have forgiven,ifI have forgivenanything,[I did it] for your sakesin the presenceof Christ,
bearingwith one another,and forgivingeach other,whoeverhasa complaintagainstanyone;justas the Lordforgaveyou, soalsoshould you.
But someonemay [well] say,"You havefaithand I haveworks;showme your faithwithoutthe works,and I will showyou my faithby my works."
