[Some] soldierswere questioninghim, saying,"And [what about] us, whatshall we do?"And he saidto them, "Do not take moneyfrom anyoneby force,oraccuse [anyone] falsely,and be contentwith your wages."
"You shall not bearfalse~witnessagainst your neighbor.
"You shall not beara false report;do not joinyour handwith a wickedmanto be a maliciouswitness.
You shall not steal,nordealfalsely,norlieto oneanother.
And when Jesus enteredCapernaum,a centurioncameto Him, imploringHim,
Zaccheusstoppedand saidto the Lord,"Behold,Lord,halfof my possessionsI will giveto the poor,and ifI have defraudedanyoneof anything,I will give backfour times as much."
And the crowdswere questioninghim, saying,"Thenwhatshall we do?"
And he saidto them, "Collectnomorethanwhat you have been orderedto."
Whenthe angelwho was speakingto him had left,he summonedtwoof his servantsand a devoutsoldierof thosewho were his personal attendants,
sothat you will proveyourselves to be blamelessand innocent,childrenof Godabove reproachin the midstof a crookedand perversegeneration,amongwhomyou appearas lightsin the world,
Not that I speakfrom want,for I have learnedto be contentin whatevercircumstancesI am.
Older womenlikewiseare to be reverentin their behavior,not malicious gossipsnorenslavedto muchwine,teaching what is good,
ThenI hearda loudvoicein heaven,saying,"Nowthe salvation,and the power,and the kingdomof our Godand the authorityof His Christhave come,for the accuserof our brethrenhas been throwndown, he who accusesthem beforeour Goddayand night.
