and after they have scourgedHim, they will killHim; and the thirddayHe will rise again."
From that timeJesusbeganto showHis disciplesthat He mustgoto Jerusalem,and suffermany thingsfrom the eldersand chief priestsand scribes,and be killed,and be raisedup on the thirdday.
and said,"Sir,we rememberthat when He was stillalivethat deceiversaid,AfterthreedaysI [am to] rise again.'
"For He will be handedover to the Gentiles,and will be mockedand mistreatedand spitupon,
But the disciples understoodnoneof these things, and [the meaning of] thisstatementwas hiddenfrom them, and they did not comprehendthe things that were said.
"But we were hopingthat it was He who was goingto redeemIsrael.Indeed,besidesallthis,it is the thirddaysincethese thingshappened.
sayingthat the Sonof Manmustbe deliveredinto the handsof sinfulmen,and be crucified,and the thirddayrise again."
