But pasturefieldsof their citiesshall not be sold,for that is their perpetualpossession.
Also for the sonsof Aaronthe priests[who were] in the pasturelandsof their cities,or in eachand everycity,[there were] menwhowere designatedby nameto distributeportionsto everymaleamong the priestsand to everyonegenealogicallyenrolledamong the Levites.
"Alongsidethe borderof the prieststhe Levites[shall have] 25,000[cubits] in lengthand 10,000in width.The wholelength[shall be] 25,000[cubits] and the width10000
"Moreover, they shall not sellor exchangeanyof it, or alienatethis choice[portion] of land;for it is holyto the LORD.
The land,moreover, shall not be soldpermanently,for the landis Mine; for you are [but] aliensand sojournerswith Me.
What,therefore, belongsto the Levitesmay be redeemedand a housesalein the cityof this possessionrevertsin the jubilee,for the housesof the citiesof the Levitesare their possessionamongthe sonsof Israel.
