Now it will comeabout that insteadof sweetperfumethere will be putrefaction;Insteadof a belt,a rope;Insteadof well-sethair,a plucked-outscalp;Insteadof fineclothes,a donningof sackcloth;And brandinginsteadof beauty.
"The priestshall then look,and ifthere is a whiteswellingin the skin,and it has turnedthe hairwhite,and there is quickrawfleshin the swelling,
and in the placeof the boilthere is a whiteswellingora reddish-white,brightspot,then it shall be shownto the priest;
"But ifthe brightspotremainsin its placeand does not spread,it is [only] the scarof the boil;and the priestshall pronouncehim clean.
then the priestshall lookat it. And ifthe hairin the brightspothas turnedwhiteand it appearsto be deeperthanthe skin,it is leprosy;it has brokenout in the burn.Therefore, the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is an infectionof leprosy.
