"Nowmusteryourselves in troops,daughterof troops;They have laidsiegeagainstus; With a rodthey will smitethe judgeof Israelon the cheek.
Thenthey spatin His faceand beat Him with their fists;and othersslappedHim,
"But I sayto you, do not resistan evilperson; but whoeverslapsyou on your rightcheek,turnthe otherto him also.
"Whoever hitsyou on the cheek,offerhim the otheralso;and whoever takes awayyour coat,do not withholdyour shirtfrom him either.
For you tolerateit ifanyoneenslavesyou, anyonedevoursyou, anyonetakesadvantage of you, anyoneexaltshimself, anyonehitsyou in the face.
