Benjaminreturnedat that time,and they gavethem the womenwhomthey had keptalivefrom the womenof Jabesh-gilead;yet they were not enoughfor them.
But becauseof immoralities,eachmanis to havehis ownwife,and eachwomanis to haveher ownhusband.
But 600menturnedand fledtoward the wildernessto the rockof Rimmon,and they remainedat the rockof Rimmonfourmonths.
And they foundamongthe inhabitantsof Jabesh-gilead400youngvirginswhohad not knowna manby lyingwith him; and they broughtthem to the campat Shiloh,whichis in the landof Canaan.
Then the wholecongregationsent[word] and spoketo the sonsof Benjaminwhowere at the rockof Rimmon,and proclaimedpeaceto them.
And the peoplewere sorryfor Benjaminbecausethe LORDhad madea breachin the tribesof Israel.
"It shall comeabout, whentheir fathersortheir brotherscometo complainto us, that we shall sayto them, 'Givethem to us voluntarily,becausewe did not takefor eachman[of Benjamin] a wifein battle,nordid you give[them] to them, [else] you would nowbe guilty.'"
And they said,"Whatoneis there of the tribesof Israelwhodid not comeup to the LORDat Mizpah?"And behold,noonehad cometo the campfrom Jabesh-gileadto the assembly.
