But the angelof the LORDsaidto him, "Whydo you askmy name,seeing it is wonderful?"
Then Jacobaskedhim and said,"Pleasetellme your name."But he said,"Whyis it that you askmy name?"And he blessedhim there.
So Jacobnamedthe placePeniel,for [he said], "I have seenGodfaceto face,yet my lifehas been preserved."
Then the Levites,Jeshua,Kadmiel,Bani,Hashabneiah,Sherebiah,Hodiah,Shebaniah[and] Pethahiah,said,"Arise,blessthe LORDyour Godforeverand ever!O may Your gloriousnamebe blessedAnd exaltedaboveallblessingand praise!
"Be on your guardbeforehim and obeyhis voice;do not be rebellioustoward him, for he will not pardonyour transgression,sinceMy nameis in him.
For everybootof the bootedwarriorin the [battle] tumult,And cloakrolledin blood,will be for burning,fuelfor the fire.
For a childwill be bornto us, a sonwill be givento us; And the governmentwill reston His shoulders;And His namewill be calledWonderfulCounselor,MightyGod,EternalFather,Princeof Peace.
Then the womancameand toldher husband,saying,"A manof Godcameto me and his appearancewas like the appearanceof the angelof God,veryawesome.And I did not askhim wherehe [came] from, nordid he tellme his name.
