Then afterwardhe readallthe wordsof the law,the blessingand the curse,according to allthat is writtenin the bookof the law.
On that daythey readaloud from the bookof Mosesin the hearingof the people;and there was foundwrittenin it that noAmmoniteor Moabiteshould everenterthe assemblyof God,
While they stoodin their place,they readfrom the bookof the lawof the LORDtheir Godfor a fourthof the day;and for [another] fourththey confessedand worshipedthe LORDtheir God.
"The Levitesshall then answerand sayto allthe menof Israelwith a loudvoice,
"The LORDwill smiteyou with madnessand with blindnessand with bewildermentof heart;
"Thisbookof the lawshall not departfrom your mouth,but you shall meditateon it dayand night,sothat you may be carefulto doaccording to allthat is writtenin it; for thenyou will makeyour wayprosperous,and thenyou will havesuccess.
