ThesewordsHe spokein the treasury,as He taughtin the temple;and no oneseizedHim, becauseHis hourhad not yetcome.
for the fourchiefgatekeeperswho[were] Levites,were in an office of trust,and were overthe chambersand overthe treasuriesin the houseof God.
At that timeJesussaidto the crowds,"Have you comeout with swordsand clubsto arrestMe as [you would] againsta robber?EverydayI used to sitin the templeteachingand you did not seizeMe.
The chief prieststookthe pieces of silverand said,"It is not lawfulto putthem into the temple treasury,sinceit is the priceof blood."
And He sat downoppositethe treasury,and [began] observinghowthe peoplewere puttingmoneyinto the treasury;and manyrich peoplewere puttingin large sums.
CallingHis disciplesto Him, He saidto them, "TrulyI sayto you, thispoorwidowputin morethan allthe contributorsto the treasury;
The scribesand the chief prieststriedto layhandson Him that veryhour,and they fearedthe people;for they understoodthat He spokethisparableagainstthem.
And He lookedup and sawthe richputtingtheir giftsinto the treasury.
Thereforethey were seekingagainto seizeHim, and He eludedtheir grasp.
And Jesussaidto her, "Woman,whatdoes that have to do with us? My hourhasnot yetcome."
But when it was nowthe midstof the feastJesuswentup into the temple,and [began to] teach.
Sothey were seekingto seizeHim; and no manlaidhis handon Him, becauseHis hourhad not yetcome.
Someof them wantedto seizeHim, but no onelaidhandson Him.
"Goup to the feastyourselves;I do not goup to thisfeastbecauseMy timehas not yetfully come."
Early in the morningHe cameagaininto the temple,and allthe peoplewere comingto Him; and He sat downand [began] to teachthem.
Thereforethey pickedup stonesto throwat Him, but JesushidHimself and wentout of the temple.
