The Phariseesthenansweredthem, "You have not alsobeen led astray,have you?
"Thussaysthe king,Do not let Hezekiahdeceiveyou, for he will not be ableto deliveryou from my hand;
untilI comeand takeyou away to a landlike your own land,a landof grainand newwine,a landof breadand vineyards,a landof olivetreesand honey,that you may liveand not die."But do not listento Hezekiahwhenhe misleadsyou, saying,"The LORDwill deliverus."
Nowtherefore, do not let Hezekiahdeceiveyou or misleadyou like this,and do not believehim, for nogodof anynationor kingdomwas ableto deliverhis peoplefrom my handor from the handof my fathers.Howmuchlesswill your Goddeliveryou from my hand?'"
And He answeredand saidto them, "Whydo you yourselvestransgressthe commandmentof Godfor the sakeof your tradition?
and said,"Sir,we rememberthat when He was stillalivethat deceiversaid,AfterthreedaysI [am to] rise again.'
There was muchgrumblingamongthe crowdsconcerningHim; somewere saying,"He is a good man";otherswere saying,"No,on the contrary,He leadsthe peopleastray."
