But when it was nowthe midstof the feastJesuswentup into the temple,and [began to] teach.
"Behold,I am going to sendMy messenger,and he will clearthe waybeforeMe. And the Lord,whomyou seek,will suddenlycometo His temple;and the messengerof the covenant,in whomyou delight,behold,He is coming,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
Then on the secondday:twelvebulls,tworams,fourteenmalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect;
Then on the thirdday:elevenbulls,tworams,fourteenmalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect;
And Jesusenteredthe templeand droveout allthosewho were buyingand sellingin the temple,and overturnedthe tablesof the money changersand the seatsof thosewho were sellingdoves.
At that timeJesussaidto the crowds,"Have you comeout with swordsand clubsto arrestMe as [you would] againsta robber?EverydayI used to sitin the templeteachingand you did not seizeMe.
And He was teachingdailyin the temple;but the chief priestsand the scribesand the leading menamong the peoplewere tryingto destroyHim,
Jesusansweredhim, "I have spokenopenlyto the world;I alwaystaughtin synagoguesand in the temple,whereallthe Jewscome together;and I spokenothingin secret.
AfterwardJesusfoundhim in the templeand saidto him, "Behold,you have becomewell;do not sinanymore,sothat nothingworsehappensto you."
Nowthe feastof the Jews,the Feast of Booths,was near.
ThenJesuscriedout in the temple,teachingand saying,"You bothknow Me and knowwhereI amfrom; and I have not comeof Myself,but He who sentMe is true,whomyou do not know.
Nowon the lastday,the great[day] of the feast,Jesusstoodand criedout, saying,"Ifanyoneis thirsty,let him cometo Me and drink.
Early in the morningHe cameagaininto the temple,and allthe peoplewere comingto Him; and He sat downand [began] to teachthem.
ThesewordsHe spokein the treasury,as He taughtin the temple;and no oneseizedHim, becauseHis hourhad not yetcome.
