ThereforePilateenteredagaininto the Praetorium,and summonedJesusand saidto Him, "Are You the Kingof the Jews?"
"Behold,[the] daysare coming,"declaresthe LORD,"When I will raiseup for Davida righteousBranch;And He will reignas kingand actwiselyAnd dojusticeand righteousnessin the land.
The LORDhas takenaway[His] judgmentsagainst you, He has clearedawayyour enemies.The Kingof Israel,the LORD,is in your midst;You will feardisasternomore.
Rejoicegreatly,O daughterof Zion!Shout[in triumph], O daughterof Jerusalem!Behold,your kingis comingto you; He is justand endowedwith salvation,Humble,and mountedon a donkey,Even on a colt,the foalof a donkey.
NowJesusstoodbeforethe governor,and the governorquestionedHim, saying,"Are You the Kingof the Jews?"And Jesussaidto him, "[It is as] you say."
Thenthe soldiersof the governortookJesusinto the Praetoriumand gatheredthe whole[Roman] cohortaroundHim.
PilatequestionedHim, "Are You the Kingof the Jews?"And He answeredhim, "[It is as] you say."
And they beganto accuseHim, saying,"We foundthis manmisleadingour nationand forbiddingto paytaxesto Caesar,and sayingthat He Himselfis Christ,a King."
NathanaelansweredHim, "Rabbi,You are the Sonof God;You are the Kingof Israel."
tookthe branchesof the palm treesand wentout to meetHim, and [began] to shout,"Hosanna!BLESSEDIS HE WHO COMESIN THE NAMEOF THE LORD,eventhe Kingof Israel."
"FEARNOT, DAUGHTEROF ZION;BEHOLD,YOUR KINGIS COMING,SEATEDON A DONKEY'SCOLT."
Jesusanswered,"Are you sayingthison your own initiative,ordid otherstellyou aboutMe?"
ThereforePilatesaidto Him, "SoYou are a king?"Jesusanswered,"You say[correctly] that I ama king.For thisI have been born,and for thisI have comeinto the world,to testifyto the truth.Everyonewho is of the truthhearsMy voice."
Pilatesaidto Him, "Whatis truth?"And when he had saidthis,he wentout againto the Jewsand saidto them, "I findnoguiltin Him.
As a resultof thisPilatemade effortsto releaseHim, but the Jewscriedout saying,"Ifyou releasethis Man,you are nofriendof Caesar;everyonewho makeshimselfout [to be] a kingopposesCaesar."
and they [began] to comeup to Him and say,"Hail,Kingof the Jews!"and to giveHim slaps[in the face].
Pilatecameout againand saidto them, "Behold,I am bringingHim out to you sothat you may knowthat I findnoguiltin Him."
and he enteredinto the Praetoriumagainand saidto Jesus,"Whereare You from?" But Jesusgavehim noanswer.
I chargeyou in the presenceof God,who gives lifeto all things,and of ChristJesus,who testifiedthe goodconfessionbeforePontiusPilate,
