[that is] the Spiritof truth,whomthe worldcannotreceive,becauseit does not seeHim orknowHim, [but] you knowHim becauseHe abideswith you and will be in you.
The heartknowsits ownbitterness,And a strangerdoes not shareits joy.
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
"As for Me, thisis My covenantwith them," saysthe LORD:"My Spiritwhichis upon you, and My wordswhichI have putin your mouthshall not departfrom your mouth,norfrom the mouthof your offspring,norfrom the mouthof your offspring'soffspring,"saysthe LORD,"from nowand forever."
"I will putMy Spiritwithinyou and causeyou to walkin My statutes,and you will be carefulto observeMy ordinances.
"For it is not you who speak,but [it is] the Spiritof your Fatherwho speaksin you.
"I will askthe Father,and He will giveyou anotherHelper,that He may be with you forever;
Jesusansweredand saidto him, "IfanyonelovesMe, he will keepMy word;and My Fatherwill lovehim, and We will cometo him and makeOur abodewith him.
"Whenthe Helpercomes,whomI will sendto you from the Father,[that is] the Spiritof truthwhoproceedsfrom the Father,He will testifyaboutMe,
"But whenHe, the Spiritof truth,comes,He will guideyou into allthe truth;for He will not speakon His own initiative,but whateverHe hears,He will speak;and He will discloseto you what is to come.
"For thisis the willof My Father,that everyonewho beholdsthe Sonand believesin Him will haveeternallife,and I Myselfwill raisehim up on the lastday."
Whatis [the outcome] then?I will praywith the spiritand I will praywith the mindalso;I will singwith the spiritand I will singwith the mindalso.
But a naturalmandoes not acceptthe things of the Spiritof God,for they are foolishnessto him; and he cannotunderstandthem, becausethey are spirituallyappraised.
Do you not knowthat you are a templeof Godand [that] the Spiritof Goddwellsin you?
Ordo you not knowthat your bodyis a templeof the HolySpiritwho is in you, whomyou havefrom God,and that you are not your own?
Testyourselves[to see] ifyou are in the faith;examineyourselves!Ordo you not recognizethis about yourselves,that JesusChristis in you-- unlessindeed you fail the test?
Orwhatagreementhas the templeof Godwith idols?For we are the templeof the livingGod;justas Godsaid,"I WILL DWELLIN THEM AND WALK AMONGTHEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD,AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
Becauseyou are sons,Godhas sent forththe Spiritof His Soninto our hearts,crying,"Abba!Father!"
in whomyou alsoare being built togetherinto a dwellingof Godin the Spirit.
so that Christmay dwellin your heartsthroughfaith;[and] that you, being rootedand groundedin love,
to whomGodwilledto make knownwhatis the richesof the gloryof thismysteryamongthe Gentiles,whichis Christin you, the hopeof glory.
Guard,throughthe HolySpiritwho dwellsin us, the treasurewhich has been entrustedto [you].
As for you, the anointingwhichyou receivedfrom Him abidesin you, and you havenoneedfor anyoneto teachyou; but as His anointingteachesyou aboutall things,and is true and is not a lie,and justas it has taughtyou, you abidein Him.
The one who keepsHis commandmentsabidesin Him, and He in him. We knowby thisthat He abidesin us, by the SpiritwhomHe has givenus.
You are from God,little children,and have overcomethem; becausegreateris He who is in you thanhe who is in the world.
We are from God;he who knowsGodlistensto us; he whois not from Goddoes not listento us. By thiswe knowthe spiritof truthand the spiritof error.
For thereare threethat testify:
He who hasan ear,let him hearwhatthe Spiritsaysto the churches.To him who overcomes,to him I will give[some] of the hiddenmanna,and I will givehim a whitestone,and a newnamewrittenon the stonewhichno oneknowsbut he who receivesit.'
