Thisis the testimonyof John,whenthe Jewssentto him priestsand Levitesfrom Jerusalemto askhim, "Whoare you?"
Johntestifiedsaying,"I have seenthe Spiritdescendingas a doveout of heaven,and He remainedupon Him.
"I myselfhave seen,and have testifiedthat thisis the Sonof God."
Thenthe Jewswho were with her in the house,and consolingher, when they sawthat Marygotup quicklyand wentout, they followedher, supposingthat she was goingto the tombto weepthere.
"I knewthat You alwayshearMe; but becauseof the peoplestanding aroundI saidit, sothat they may believethat You sentMe."
The largecrowdof the Jewsthenlearnedthat He was there;and they came,not for Jesus'sakeonly,but that they might alsoseeLazarus,whomHe raisedfrom the dead.
And he who has seenhas testified, and his testimonyis true;and he knowsthat he is tellingthe truth,sothat you alsomay believe.
Thisis the disciplewho is testifyingto these thingsand wrotethese things,and we knowthat his testimonyis true.
