Thenthe Jewswho were with her in the house,and consolingher, when they sawthat Marygotup quicklyand wentout, they followedher, supposingthat she was goingto the tombto weepthere.
When He had saidthese things,He criedout with a loudvoice,"Lazarus,comeforth."
becauseon accountof him manyof the Jewswere going awayand were believingin Jesus.
Sothe people,who were with Him whenHe calledLazarusout of the tomband raisedhim from the dead,continued to testify[about Him].
that they may allbe one;evenas You, Father,[are] in Me and I in You, that they alsomay be in Us, sothat the worldmay believethat You sentMe.
"O righteousFather,althoughthe worldhas not knownYou, yetI have knownYou; and thesehave knownthat You sentMe;
for the wordswhichYou gaveMe I have givento them; and they received[them] and trulyunderstoodthat I came forthfrom You, and they believedthat You sentMe.
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
"For Goddid not sendthe Soninto the worldto judgethe world,but that the worldmight be savedthroughHim.
"But evenifI do judge,My judgmentis true;for I amnot alone[in it], but I and the Father who sentMe.
"And He who sentMe is with Me; He has not leftMe alone,for I alwaysdothe things that are pleasingto Him."
Jesussaidto them, "IfGodwere your Father,you would loveMe, for I proceeded forthand have comefrom God,for I have not evencomeon My own initiative,but He sentMe.
For whatthe Lawcouldnot do, weakas it was throughthe flesh,God[did]: sendingHis ownSonin the likenessof sinfulfleshand [as an offering] for sin,He condemnedsinin the flesh,
But whenthe fullnessof the timecame,Godsent forthHis Son,bornof a woman,bornunderthe Law,
In the daysof His flesh,He offeredup bothprayersand supplicationswith loudcryingand tearsto the One ableto saveHim from death,and He was heardbecauseof His piety.
ThereforeHe is ablealsoto saveforeverthosewho draw nearto GodthroughHim, since He alwayslivesto make intercessionfor them.
We have seenand testifythat the Fatherhas sentthe Son[to be] the Saviorof the world.
