and saidto Him, "Are You the ExpectedOne, orshall we lookfor someone else?"
SimonPeteranswered,"You are the Christ,the Sonof the livingGod."
ThenHe warnedthe disciplesthat they should tellno onethat He was the Christ.
for todayin the cityof Davidthere has been bornfor you a Savior,whois Christthe Lord.
NathanaelansweredHim, "Rabbi,You are the Sonof God;You are the Kingof Israel."
and they were sayingto the woman,"It is no longerbecauseof what you saidthat we believe,for we have heardfor ourselvesand knowthat this Oneis indeedthe Saviorof the world."
Thereforewhen the peoplesawthe signwhichHe had performed,they said,"Thisis trulythe Prophetwho is to comeinto the world."
"We have believedand have come to knowthat You are the Holy Oneof God."
As they wentalongthe roadthey cameto somewater;and the eunuchsaid,"Look!Water!Whatpreventsme from being baptized?"
[And Philipsaid,"Ifyou believewith allyour heart,you may."And he answeredand said,"I believethat JesusChristis the Sonof God.]"
Whoeverbelievesthat Jesusis the Christis bornof God,and whoeverlovesthe Fatherlovesthe [child] bornof Him.
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
