The next dayHe purposedto gointo Galilee,and He foundPhilip.And Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe."
"I permitted Myself to be soughtby those who did not ask[for Me]; I permitted Myself to be foundby those who did not seekMe. I said,'Heream I, heream I,' To a nationwhich did not callon My name.
Philipand Bartholomew;Thomasand Matthewthe tax collector;Jamesthe son of Alphaeus,and Thaddaeus;
Nowwhen Jesus heardthat Johnhad been taken into custody,He withdrewinto Galilee;
But Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe, and allowthe deadto burytheir owndead."
As Jesuswenton from there,He sawa mancalledMatthew,sittingin the tax collector's booth;and He saidto him, "FollowMe!" And he gotup and followedHim.
"For the Sonof Manhas cometo seekand to savethat which was lost."
These thingstook placein Bethanybeyondthe Jordan,whereJohnwas baptizing.
The next dayhe sawJesuscomingto him and said,"Behold,the Lambof Godwho takes awaythe sinof the world!
Againthe next dayJohnwas standingwith twoof his disciples,
The twodisciplesheardhim speak,and they followedJesus.
NowPhilipwas from Bethsaida,of the cityof Andrewand Peter.
thesethencameto Philip,whowas from Bethsaidaof Galilee,and [began to] askhim, saying,"Sir,we wishto seeJesus."
Philipsaidto Him, "Lord,showus the Father,and it is enoughfor us."
Thisbeginningof [His] signsJesusdidin Canaof Galilee,and manifestedHis glory,and His disciplesbelievedin Him.
ThereforeJesus,liftingup His eyesand seeingthat a largecrowdwas comingto Him, saidto Philip,"Whereare we to buybread,sothat thesemay eat?"
PhilipansweredHim, "Two hundreddenariiworth of breadis not sufficientfor them, for everyoneto receivea little."
Not that I have alreadyobtained[it] orhave alreadybecome perfect,but I presson sothat I may layholdof that for whichalsoI was laid holdof by ChristJesus.
