But Peterand the apostlesanswered,"We mustobeyGodratherthanmen.
But Peterand Johnansweredand saidto them, "Whetherit is rightin the sightof Godto give heedto you ratherthanto God,you be the judge;
"Onlyknowfor certainthat ifyou putme to death,you will bringinnocentbloodon yourselves, and on thiscityand on its inhabitants;for trulythe LORDhas sentme to you to speakallthesewordsin your hearing."
"Thussaysthe LORD,Standin the courtof the LORD'Shouse,and speakto allthe citiesof Judahwho have cometo worship[in] the LORD'Shouseallthe wordsthat I have commandedyou to speakto them. Do not omita word!
"And whenthey sayto you, 'Whydo you groan?'you shall say,'Becauseof the newsthat is coming;and everyheartwill melt,allhandswill be feeble,everyspiritwill faintand allkneeswill be weakas water.Behold,it comesand it will happen,'declaresthe LordGOD."
A lionhas roared!Whowill not fear?The LordGODhas spoken!Whocan but prophesy?
