But someonemay [well] say,"You havefaithand I haveworks;showme your faithwithoutthe works,and I will showyou my faithby my works."
But he who doubtsis condemnedifhe eats,because[his eating is] not from faith;and whateveris not from faithis sin.
For we maintainthat a manis justifiedby faithapartfrom worksof the Law.
justas Davidalsospeaksof the blessingon the manto whomGodcreditsrighteousnessapartfrom works:
Thereforethere is nownocondemnationfor thosewho are in ChristJesus.
You will sayto me then,"Whydoes He stillfind fault?For whoresistsHis will?"
IfI have[the gift of] prophecy,and knowallmysteriesand allknowledge;and ifI haveallfaith,soas to removemountains,but do not havelove,I amnothing.
Thereforeifanyoneis in Christ,[he is] a newcreature;the old thingspassed away;behold,new thingshave come.
Therefore,havingthesepromises,beloved,let us cleanseourselvesfrom alldefilementof fleshand spirit,perfectingholinessin the fearof God.
For in ChristJesusneithercircumcisionnoruncircumcisionmeansanything,but faithworkingthroughlove.
But the goalof our instructionis lovefrom a pureheartand a goodconscienceand a sincerefaith.
in all thingsshowyourselfto be an exampleof gooddeeds,[with] purityin doctrine,dignified,
By faithRahabthe harlotdid not perish alongwith thosewho were disobedient,after she had welcomedthe spiesin peace.
whoby faithconqueredkingdoms,performed[acts of] righteousness,obtainedpromises,shutthe mouthsof lions,
And withoutfaithit is impossibleto please[Him], for he who comesto Godmustbelievethat He is and [that] He is a rewarderof thosewho seekHim.
Whatuseis it, my brethren,ifsomeonesayshe hasfaithbut he hasnoworks?Canthat faithsavehim?
Whoamongyou is wiseand understanding?Let him showby his goodbehaviorhis deedsin the gentlenessof wisdom.
