"I will drivehim [like] a pegin a firmplace,And he will becomea throneof gloryto his father'shouse.
"But nowfor a briefmomentgracehas been[shown] from the LORDour God,to leaveus an escapedremnantand to giveus a pegin His holyplace,that our Godmay enlightenour eyesand grantus a littlerevivingin our bondage.
For Mordecaithe Jewwas second[only] to KingAhasuerus,and greatamong the Jewsand in favorwith his manykinsmen,one who soughtthe goodof his peopleand one who spokefor the welfareof his wholenation.

"In that day,"declaresthe LORDof hosts,"the pegdrivenin a firmplacewill giveway;it will even breakoffand fall,and the loadhanging on it will be cutoff,for the LORDhas spoken."
