Though I wrotefor him tenthousand[precepts] of My law,They are regardedas a strangething.
"But they becamedisobedientand rebelledagainst You, And castYour lawbehindtheir backsAnd killedYour prophetswhohad admonishedthem So that they might returnto You, And they committedgreatblasphemies.
Openmy eyes,that I may beholdWonderfulthingsfrom Your law.
"For you hatediscipline,And you castMy wordsbehindyou.
Have I not writtento you excellentthingsOf counselsand knowledge,
For thisis a rebelliouspeople,false~sons,Sonswho refuseto listenTo the instructionof the LORD;
"I gavethem My statutesand informedthem of My ordinances,by which,if a manobservesthem, he will live.
My peopleare destroyedfor lackof knowledge.Becauseyou have rejectedknowledge,I also will rejectyou from being My priest.Since you have forgottenthe lawof your God,I alsowill forgetyour children.
Thenwhatadvantagehas the Jew?Orwhatis the benefitof circumcision?
So then,the Lawis holy,and the commandmentis holyand righteousand good.
