whoservea copyand shadowof the heavenly things,justas Moseswas warned[by God] when he was aboutto erectthe tabernacle;for, "SEE,"He says,"THAT YOU MAKEall thingsACCORDINGTO THE PATTERNWHICH WAS SHOWNYOU ON THE MOUNTAIN."
"Seethat you make[them] after the patternfor them, whichwas shownto you on the mountain.
things whichare a [mere] shadowof what is to come;but the substancebelongs to Christ.
For the Law,since it has[only] a shadowof the good thingsto come[and] not the veryformof things,cannever,by the samesacrificeswhichthey offercontinuallyyear by year,make perfectthosewho draw near.
"Then you shall erectthe tabernacleaccording to its planwhichyou have been shownin the mountain.
"All[this]," [said David], "the LORDmade me understandin writingby His handupon me, allthe detailsof this pattern."
"You shall makeit hollowwith planks;as it was shownto you in the mountain,sothey shall make[it].
and the planof allthat he hadin mind,for the courtsof the houseof the LORD,and for allthe surroundingrooms,for the storehousesof the houseof Godand for the storehousesof the dedicatedthings;
which[is] a symbolfor the presenttime.Accordinglybothgiftsand sacrificesare offeredwhich cannotmakethe worshiperperfectin conscience,
Now thiswas the workmanshipof the lampstand,hammeredworkof gold;from its baseto its flowersit was hammeredwork;according to the patternwhichthe LORDhad showedMoses,sohe madethe lampstand.
Seeto it that you do not refuseHim who is speaking.For ifthosedid not escapewhen they refusedhim who warned[them] on earth,muchless[will] we [escape] who turn awayfrom Him who [warns] from heaven.
By faithNoah,being warned[by God] aboutthings not yetseen,in reverencepreparedan arkfor the salvationof his household,by whichhe condemnedthe world,and becamean heirof the righteousnesswhich is accordingto faith.
"Our fathershadthe tabernacleof testimonyin the wilderness,justas He who spoketo Mosesdirected[him] to makeit accordingto the patternwhichhe had seen.
"According to allthat I am going to showyou, [as] the patternof the tabernacleand the patternof allits furniture,just soyou shall construct[it].
And having been warned[by God] in a dreamnot to returnto Herod,the magi leftfor their own countryby anotherway.
We havean altarfrom whichthosewho servethe tabernaclehavenorightto eat.
Afterthese thingsI looked,and the templeof the tabernacleof testimonyin heavenwas opened,
"Therefore we said,'It shall also comeabout ifthey say[this] to us or to our generationsin timeto come,then we shall say,"Seethe copyof the altarof the LORDwhichour fathersmade,not for burntofferingor for sacrifice;ratherit is a witnessbetweenus and you."'
