Nowifperfectionwas throughthe Leviticalpriesthood(for on the basisof it the peoplereceived the Law),whatfurtherneed[was there] for anotherpriestto ariseaccordingto the orderof Melchizedek,and not be designatedaccordingto the orderof Aaron?
For ifthat first[covenant] had beenfaultless,there would have been nooccasionsoughtfor a second.
"I do not nullifythe graceof God,for ifrighteousness[comes] throughthe Law,thenChristdiedneedlessly."
(for they indeedbecamepriestswithoutan oath, but He with an oaththroughthe One who saidto Him, "THE LORDHAS SWORNAND WILL NOT CHANGE HIS MIND,'YOU ARE A PRIESTFOREVER'");
And this is clearerstill,ifanotherpriestarisesaccordingto the likenessof Melchizedek,
justas He saysalsoin another[passage], "YOU ARE A PRIESTFOREVERACCORDINGTO THE ORDEROF MELCHIZEDEK."
But nowthat you have come to knowGod,orratherto be knownby God,howis it that you turn backagainto the weakand worthlesselemental things,to whichyou desireto be enslavedall overagain?

Soalsowe, whilewe were children,were held in bondageunderthe elemental thingsof the world.

Nowwhen these thingshave been soprepared,the priestsare continuallyenteringthe outertabernacleperformingthe divine worship,
