and becauseof it he is obligatedto offer[sacrifices] for sins,as for the people,soalsofor himself.
"Then he shall slaughterthe goatof the sinofferingwhichis for the people,and bringits bloodinsidethe veiland dowith its bloodas he didwith the bloodof the bull,and sprinkleit on the mercyseatand in frontof the mercyseat.
"Then Aaronshall offerthe bullfor the sinofferingwhichis for himself, that he may makeatonementfor himself and for his household.
Mosesthen saidto Aaron,"Comenearto the altarand offeryour sinofferingand your burntoffering,that you may makeatonementfor yourself and for the people;then makethe offeringfor the people,that you may makeatonementfor them, justas the LORDhas commanded."
For I deliveredto you as of first importancewhatI alsoreceived,that Christdiedfor our sinsaccordingto the Scriptures,
but He, having offeredonesacrificefor sinsfor all time,SAT DOWNAT THE RIGHT HANDOF GOD,
whodoes not needdaily,likethosehigh priests,to offerup sacrifices,firstfor His ownsinsand thenfor the [sins] of the people,becausethisHe didonce for allwhen He offeredup Himself.
but into the second,onlythe high priest[enters] oncea year,not without[taking] blood,whichhe offersfor himselfand for the sinsof the peoplecommitted in ignorance.
