Therefore,sinceit remainsfor someto enterit, and thosewhoformerlyhad good news preachedto them failedto enterbecauseof disobedience,
"You will leaveyour namefor a curseto My chosenones,And the LordGODwill slayyou. But My servantswill be calledby anothername.
"I will smitethem with pestilenceand dispossessthem, and I will makeyou into a nationgreaterand mightierthanthey."
Your children,however, whomyou saidwould becomea prey--I will bringthem in, and they will knowthe landwhichyou have rejected.
"ThereforeI sayto you, the kingdomof Godwill be taken awayfrom you and givento a people,producingthe fruitof it.
"Thereforelet it be knownto you that thissalvationof Godhas been sentto the Gentiles;they will alsolisten."
But thisI say,brethren,the timehas beenshortened,sothat from nowon thosewho havewivesshould be as thoughthey hadnone;
The Scripture,foreseeingthat Godwould justifythe Gentilesby faith,preached the gospel beforehandto Abraham,[saying], "ALLTHE NATIONSWILL BE BLESSEDIN YOU."
Thereforelet us be diligentto enterthat rest,sothat noonewill fall,through[following] the sameexampleof disobedience.
For indeedwe have had good news preachedto us, justas they also;but the wordthey hearddid not profitthem, because it was not unitedby faithin thosewhoheard.
Sothere remainsa Sabbath restfor the peopleof God.
