having becomeas muchbetterthan the angels,as He has inheriteda more excellentnamethanthey.
far aboveallruleand authorityand powerand dominion,and everynamethat is named,not onlyin thisagebut alsoin the one to come.
He is alsoheadof the body,the church;and He is the beginning,the firstbornfrom the dead,sothat He Himselfwill cometo have first placein everything.
and in Him you have beenmade complete,and He is the headover allruleand authority;
and [to give] reliefto you who are afflictedand to us as well whenthe LordJesuswill be revealedfrom heavenwith His mightyangelsin flamingfire,
"YOU HAVE LOVEDRIGHTEOUSNESSAND HATEDLAWLESSNESS;THEREFOREGOD,YOUR GOD,HAS ANOINTEDYOU WITH THE OILOF GLADNESSABOVEYOUR COMPANIONS."
For you knowthat evenafterwards,when he desiredto inheritthe blessing,he was rejected,for he foundnoplacefor repentance,thoughhe soughtfor it with tears.
But we do seeHim who was madefor a little whilelowerthanthe angels,[namely], Jesus,becauseof the sufferingof deathcrownedwith gloryand honor,sothat by the graceof GodHe might tastedeathfor everyone.
