But he said,"Farbe it from me to dothis.The manin whosepossessionthe cuphas been found,he shall be my slave;but as for you, goup in peaceto your father."
"Farbe it from You to dosucha thing,to slaythe righteouswith the wicked,so that the righteousand the wickedare [treated] alike. Farbe it from You! Shall not the Judgeof allthe earthdealjustly?"
that you will dous noharm,justas we have not touchedyou and have doneto you nothingbut goodand have sentyou awayin peace.You are nowthe blessedof the LORD.'"
Now Josephsaidto them on the thirdday,"Dothisand live,for I fearGod:
So he said,"Nowlet it alsobe according to your words;he with whomit is foundshall be my slave,and [the rest of] you shall be innocent."
So Judahsaid,"Whatcan we sayto my lord?Whatcan we speak?And howcan we justifyourselves? Godhas foundout the iniquityof your servants;behold,we are my lord'sslaves,bothwe and the one in whosepossessionthe cuphas been found."
Then Judahapproachedhim, and said,"Ohmy lord,may your servantpleasespeaka wordin my lord'sears,and do not be angrywith your servant;for you are equal to Pharaoh.
"The Godof Israelsaid,The Rockof Israelspoketo me, 'He who rulesover menrighteously,Who rulesin the fearof God,
"WhenI selectan appointedtime,It is I who judgewith equity.
He who justifiesthe wickedand he who condemnsthe righteous,Bothof them alikeare an abominationto the LORD.
