"When I sayto the wicked,'O wickedman,you will surelydie,'and you do not speakto warnthe wickedfrom his way,that wickedmanshall diein his iniquity,but his bloodI will requirefrom your hand.
But ifthe watchmanseesthe swordcomingand does not blowthe trumpetand the peopleare not warned,and a swordcomesand takesa personfrom them, he is takenaway in his iniquity;but his bloodI will requirefrom the watchman'shand.'
"Again, when a righteousmanturnsawayfrom his righteousnessand commitsiniquity,and I placean obstaclebeforehim, he will die;sinceyou have not warnedhim, he shall diein his sin,and his righteousdeedswhichhe has doneshall not be remembered;but his bloodI will requireat your hand.
"When I sayto the wicked,'You will surelydie,'and you do not warnhim or speakout to warnthe wickedfrom his wickedwaythat he may live,that wickedmanshall diein his iniquity,but his bloodI will requireat your hand.
Be suretyfor Your servantfor good;Do not let the arrogantoppressme.
"Laydown,now,a pledgefor me with Yourself; Whois there that will be my guarantor?
"Otherwise it will comeabout, as soon as my lordthe kingsleepswith his fathers,that I and my sonSolomonwill be considered offenders."
"That which was torn[of beasts] I did not bringto you; I borethe lossof it myself.You requiredit of my hand[whether] stolenby dayor stolenby night.
"SurelyI will requireyour lifeblood;from everybeastI will requireit. And from [every] man,from everyman'sbrotherI will requirethe lifeof man.
sothat the bloodof allthe prophets,shedsincethe foundationof the world,may be chargedagainstthisgeneration,
"For ifwe had not delayed,surelyby nowwe could have returnedtwice."
