So he putthem in confinementin the houseof the captainof the bodyguard,in the jail,the [same] placewhereJosephwas imprisoned.
Now Josephhad been takendownto Egypt;and Potiphar,an Egyptianofficerof Pharaoh,the captainof the bodyguard,boughthim from the Ishmaelites,whohad takenhim downthere.
So Joseph'smastertookhim and puthim into the jail,the placewherethe king'sprisonerswere confined;and he was therein the jail.
The chiefjailercommittedto Joseph'schargeallthe prisonerswhowere in the jail;so that whateverwas donethere,he was responsible[for it].
The chiefjailerdid not superviseanythingunder Joseph's chargebecausethe LORDwas with him; and whateverhe did,the LORDmade to prosper.
The captainof the bodyguardputJosephin chargeof them, and he tookcareof them; and they were in confinementfor sometime.
"Pharaohwas furiouswith his servants,and he putme in confinementin the houseof the captainof the bodyguard,[both] me and the chiefbaker.
