So he turnedasideto her by the road,and said,"Herenow,let me comein to you"; for he did not knowthat she was his daughter-in-law.And she said,"Whatwill you giveme, that you may comein to me?"
When Judahsawher, he thoughtshe [was] a harlot,for she had coveredher face.
He said,therefore, "I will sendyou a younggoatfrom the flock."She said,moreover, "Will you givea pledgeuntilyou send[it]?"
When she brought[them] to him to eat,he tookholdof her and saidto her, "Come,liewith me, my sister."
"Men givegiftsto allharlots,but you giveyour giftsto allyour loversto bribethem to cometo you from everydirectionfor your harlotries.
and said,"Whatare you willingto giveme to betrayHim to you?" And they weighedout thirtypieces of silverto him.
"You shall not bringthe hireof a harlotor the wagesof a doginto the houseof the LORDyour Godfor anyvotiveoffering,for bothof these are an abominationto the LORDyour God.
For the love of moneyis a rootof allsorts of evil,and someby longingfor it have wandered awayfrom the faithand piercedthemselveswith manygriefs.
