Then AbrahamtookIshmaelhis son,and all[the servants] whowere bornin his houseand allwhowere boughtwith his money,everymaleamong the menof Abraham'shousehold,and circumcisedthe fleshof their foreskinin the verysameday,as Godhad saidto him.
Now Ephronwas sittingamongthe sonsof Heth;and Ephronthe HittiteansweredAbrahamin the hearingof the sonsof Heth;[even] of allwho wentin at the gateof his city,saying,
to Abrahamfor a possessionin the presenceof the sonsof Heth,before allwho wentin at the gateof his city.
"Will not their livestockand their propertyand alltheir animalsbe ours? Onlylet us consentto them, and they will livewith us."
"Do not givewhatis holyto dogs,and do not throwyour pearlsbeforeswine,orthey will trample them undertheir feet,and turnand tear you to pieces.
Circumcisionis nothing,and uncircumcisionis nothing,but [what matters is] the keepingof the commandmentsof God.
