He spoketo Ephronin the hearingof the peopleof the land,saying,"Ifyou will onlypleaselistento me; I will givethe priceof the field,accept[it] from me that I may burymy deadthere."
"My lord,listento me; a piece of landworth fourhundredshekelsof silver,whatis that betweenme and you? So buryyour dead."
Then he erectedtherean altarand calledit El-Elohe-Israel.
SoHe cameto a cityof SamariacalledSychar,nearthe parcel of groundthat Jacobgaveto his sonJoseph;
