So [Jacob] wentin to Rachelalso,and indeedhe lovedRachelmorethanLeah,and he servedwith Laban for anothersevenyears.
And Leah'seyeswere weak,but Rachelwas beautifulof formand face.
Now JacoblovedRachel,so he said,"I will serveyou sevenyearsfor your youngerdaughterRachel."
So Jacobservedsevenyearsfor Racheland they seemedto him but a fewdaysbecause of his lovefor her.
Labanalso gavehis maidBilhahto his daughterRachelas her maid.
Now the LORDsawthat Leahwas unloved,and He openedher womb,but Rachelwas barren.
"Are we not reckonedby him as foreigners?For he has soldus, and has alsoentirelyconsumedour purchaseprice.
"ThesetwentyyearsI have been in your house;I servedyou fourteenyearsfor your twodaughtersand sixyearsfor your flock,and you changedmy wagestentimes.
"We saidto my lord,'We havean oldfatherand a littlechildof [his] oldage.Now his brotheris dead,so he aloneis leftof his mother,and his fatherloveshim.'
"Your servantmy fathersaidto us, 'You knowthat my wifeboreme twosons;
Now Jacobfledto the landof Aram,And Israelworkedfor a wife,And for a wifehe kept[sheep].
"He who lovesfatherormothermorethanMe is not worthyof Me; and he who lovessonordaughtermore thanMe is not worthyof Me.
"No onecanservetwomasters;for eitherhe will hatethe oneand lovethe other,orhe will be devotedto oneand despisethe other.You cannotserveGodand wealth.
"Ifanyonecomesto Me, and does not hatehis own fatherand motherand wifeand childrenand brothersand sisters,yes,and evenhis ownlife,he cannotbe My disciple.
"He who loveshis lifelosesit, and he who hateshis lifein thisworldwill keepit to lifeeternal.
"Ifa manhastwowives,the onelovedand the otherunloved,and [both] the lovedand the unlovedhave bornehim sons,if the firstbornsonbelongs to the unloved,
